artist statement
the boundless possibilities inherent in procedural art and the simplicity of browser access have inspired me to make code-driven visuals on the web.
i aim to create work that becomes a digital reprieve—a space to rest, to play, to feel unrestrained, as i view the web as a formless, ever-changing environment that oscillates between void and functionality, embodying both friskiness and voidness.
i view generative, ever-evolving motion and patterns as the essence of freedom. i am interested in creating a digital sanctuary to provide individuals with a playful and restorative online space. to me, procedural methods serve as a form for individuals to shape and express their own systems.
my work explores the dynamic interplay of friskiness and voidness within the web. i am curious about the differences between freedom and liberty and if it is possible to use procedural methods to empower or entitle others to craft their own systems of play and rest.
